Greetings from The First Christian Church in Albion. We are on the corner of 4th and Elm Streets. All are welcome to come in and join us. Sunday School is at 9 a.m. for those that are comfortable in attending and Church services begin at 10 a.m. Children’s church and nursery are available. Social distancing is being observed. Please enter through the north or east doors. Elevator access is available by using the east doors.

This week, Pastor Clayton’s sermon was taken from Revelation 2:8-11, number 2 of the seven Churches of Revelations, “Slain in Smyrna.”

We need to pray for the persecution that still goes on in todays world.

You can hear this sermon or one of Pastor Clayton’s past sermons on our Facebook page

Sunday’s music came from Glenna on piano, Terry at the organ and Cameron on trumpet. Jamie, Misty and Beth led the singing.

Prayers to Diana’s brother David Hart and Ron Mann. Also to Cameron Shilling; Rick York; Leroy Speir; Nile and Karen Gay; Ed Wampler; Ed Thompson; Brett Shaw and Gina Simms. Sympathy to the Ibbotson family, also to Pastor Clayton and his family on the passing of his grandfather.

We will be participating  in the Albion Trunk or Treat Saturday evening. Come out and help us pass out candy to the youngsters! We are also having a pumpkin decorating contest. Leave your pumpkin on the front steps of the church between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. with your contact information on the bottom. Winners will be notified at the Trunk or Treat. Check our Facebook page for more information. There is a sign up sheet for groceries for the Thanksgiving meal boxes. Check this out and see how you can help with this mission.

The monthly board meeting will be Sunday, Nov. 1 at 6:30 p.m. Committees will meet before the board.

We have a Men and Women’s bible study every Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. There is babysitting available. Women of Faith meet every other Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend any of these studies. Stay healthy, stay safe.
