While petitions for the April 6, 2021 local elections can’t be returned until the week of Dec. 14, it already looks as though a potential rematch from the 2017 election may be on the ballot for residents of Browns.

Two petitions have been taken out thus far in the race for Browns Village President: one by current seat-holder David Smith and the other by previous Village President Todd Bailey. The two men squared off against one another in the 2017 spring election for the mayorship of Browns, with Smith unseating Bailey by a 51–29 vote margin.
