Just one month after appointing Sheila Hering to fill the vacancy of Damon Larkin, the Browns Village Board will have to replace another trustee.

Glen Wiseman tendered his resignation to the board, effective immediately, at the beginning of the meeting.

To the Village of Browns, IL: Please accept this as my official resignation from the Board of Trustees effective immediately. Sincerely, Glen A Wiseman.

Wiseman gave no specific reason behind the sudden resignation, but cited “a multitude of factors” in his final words as a village trustee.

“There are a lot of reasons, not a lot of them sitting here, but I’ve just got a lot going on. I will apologize that I took a petition out. I may have clouded the form. Other than that, it’s been good. I’m a long time member here, just returning to be a neighbor and citizen of Browns, Illinois. There’s nobody here that can’t come knock on my door that I’ll help in any way I can. ”

“I’ve got mixed emotions” Wiseman stated with a visibly heavy heart.

“I thank you for the opportunity to serve with you.”
