The Little Wabash Fire Protection District spent roughly five hours fighting a fire in Crossville Wednesday night.

The Grayville-based fire protection district responded to a call for mutual aid to a Crossville residence at 9:41 p.m. on Wednesday, The fire set most of the home ablaze, leaving the LWFPD and Crossville Fire Department fighting to put it out until nearly 3 a.m.

Little Wabash dispatched a tanker, pumper and pumper unit, as well as nine firefighters to the scene.
