During their regular board meeting last Tuesday, Aug. 27, the Village of Crossville’s Board of Trustees, discussed making a donation to Crossville’s upcoming block party.

The Crossville Block Party is slated for Sunday, Sept. 15, from 2–5 p.m. There will be inflatables, games, raffle prizes, cake walks, face painting and train rides, as well as a variety of food.

There will also be a sidewalk chalk contest from 2–4 p.m. with prizes to be handed out thereafter. There will also be a game of Waterball starting at 4 p.m.

The party is being sponsored by area churches and organizations so everything is free.

Additionally, the board began considering ideas for this year’s Winterfest.

Winterfest is set for Dec. 7 this year. If anyone has ideas for Winterfest, they can contact the event’s Facebook page or call Village Hall for further information.

In other business, the board approved the updated Appropriations Ordinance, and Mayor Henry Feldmann informed the board that they needed to meet and go through the ordinances to check if they need to be updated.
