Little Wabash Fire Protection District responded to a call for a structure fire at 12:16 a.m. Wednesday morning at the home of Bob Walker at 127 E. Spring Street.

LWFPD responded with pumper, tanker, rescue and ten firefighters, as well as the Albion Fire Department, who was dispatched for mutual aid.

The last LWFPD personnel cleared the residence at 8:15 a.m. According to Fire Chief Travis Thompson, the residence was a total loss and the cause was unintentional/unknown.

LWFPD would like to thank the Albion Fire Department, Grayville Police Department, Edwards County Ambulance Service and the City of Grayville Utility Department for their assistance during the structure fire.
