Following a traffic stop on Sept. 2, Joshua L. O’Gorman, 32, of Grayville was arrested on preliminary drug charges.

At approximately 10:45 p.m. a Grayville officer initiated a traffic stop near North First and Moss streets. Once making contact with O’Gorman, the officer noticed O’Gorman had become very nervous.

While conducting the stop the Edwards County Sheriff’s Department K9 Unit conducted a “free air stiff” of the vehicle. K9 Zorro gave a valid hit on the vehicle and a search of the vehicle was conducted. Officers recovered nearly 31 grams of methamphetamine, a smoking pipe and $654 in cash. O’Gorman was then placed under arrest and transported to the White County jail. O’Gorman was charged with methamphetamine delivery, unlawful use of property and possession of paraphernalia.
