27-year old Isaiah D. Tapia of Albion, Ill., was sentenced Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2019, to a total of 10 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections followed by a term of 3-years of Mandatory Supervised Release on Count I and a concurrent sentence of 8-years in the Illinois Department of Corrections followed by a term of 2-years of Mandatory Supervised Release on Count II in Edwards County Case No. 2018-CF-69.
Tapia pled guilty to the offenses of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Deliver and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon.
Edwards County State’s Attorney Eric A. St Ledger prosecuted the case on behalf of the People of the State of Illinois and public defender Brian Shinkle represented the defendant, Isaiah D. Tapia. The case was investigated by the Edwards County Sheriff’s Department.
