Grayville Days is coming up fast, and the Grayville Days committee has the festival’s entertainment all lined up.

As in years past, there are some familiar faces to look out for! On Friday, August 30, the Duke Boys will be coming to Grayville once again.

Mary Kendrick, the Grayville Days committee secretary-treasurer, stated that, “The Duke Boys used to come to Grayville a lot, and we’re trying to get back to that by having them in on that Friday night.”

Kendrick noted that “the Duke Boys draw such a crowd on Friday nights.” So, for the committee, bringing the Duke Boys back was a no-brainer.

The Duke Boys, however, isn’t the only returning act that people should be on the lookout for.

Making his second appearance at Grayville Days, Illinois native, Garrett Biggs will be taking the stage on Saturday, August 31. After his performance in 2017, the committee decided to invite the artist back.

Kendrick stated that as for Biggs, “the younger people really seem to like him, and we were impressed with him the first year he was here.”

Biggs will be performing on Saturday evening this year. He is known for performing contemporary country music, and he even has songs of his own, which have landed him several award nominations in Nashville, TN where he currently resides.

Biggs won’t be the only Nashvillian gracing the stage, though. Wrapping up the festival’s performances, Stretta will be performing on Sunday evening, September 1.

Admittedly, the committee tries to hire bands that will draw people of varying musical tastes.

“We try field a variety. We try to satisfy a variety of interests.” And according to Kendrick, Stretta fits the bill.

“Stretta puts on a really great performance. They’re high energy and can play just about anything you want them to play.”
