Ronald Eugene Lynn, Sr., 76, affectionately known as “Poon”, of Grayville, Ill. passed away on Wednesday, June 5 at Deaconess VNA Hospice in Evansville, Ind. Private graveside service will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation.

He was born on Oct. 23, 1942 in Albion, Ill., the son of the late Carl Lynn and Roberta Keener. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He retired from Champion Laboratories in Albion. He married Eleanor Russell and had 3 children. He later married Earlene Winebarger who preceded him in death.

Ron is survived by two sisters, Shirley (Boyd) Good of Magnolia, AR and Doris Spreder of Ramona, Calif.; sons, Ronnie Lynn, Jr of Grayville, Ill.; Robert (Michelle) Lynn of Charleston, Ill.; daughter, Rhonda (David) Nichols of Mattoon, Ill.; step-sons, Marvin (Fawnda) Winebarger of Grayville, Ill.; and Eddie Winebarger of Grayville, Ill.; 19 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews including special niece, Kellie Howard of Grayville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Sue Duncan (Lynn) of California and three brothers, Kenney Lynn of Grayville, Ill.; Robert Lynn of Fairfield, Ill.; and Bill Lynn of Knoxville, Tenn.
