Joshua Leon Eugene Parker, 25, of Albion, died Dec. 8, 2012, at Memorial Hospital in Bakersfield, Calif.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, Jan. 12, at the First Baptist Church, located at 114 S. Fourth St. in Albion, with Kurt Rowe officiating.
Joshua was born July 8, 1987, a son of David and Ann Parker of Albion and Michelle Wood of Bakersfield, Calif. He was a long-time resident of Edwards County, attending Edwards County High School, and attend the First Baptist Church in Albion. He was an exceptional artist, and enjoyed playing with his nieces and nephews. He was a certified driller and graduated with a certification in drilling and hydraulics on oil rigs.
Survivors include his parents, a sister, Aimee Hensley of Albion; nephews Preston Hensley and Parker Hensley of Albion; niece Peyton Hensley of Albion; grandmother Janice Parker of Albion; step-brothers Jason and Shannon Bergner, Dakota and Riley Hulett, and sister Kacie and Jay Brown, all of Olney, and Justin and Cassie Hicks and Austin Hulett of Albion. He also leaves behind several step-nieces and nephews, as well as a very special friends, Melody Schroeder and David Compton.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and paternal grandfather.
