The Mount Carmel Public Library Foundation Board is hosting their first annual “Be My Valentine” trivia night on Saturday, Feb. 22 at the Mount Carmel VFW. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the trivia contest beginning at 7 p.m. Food and drinks will be available from the VFW.
Entry fee is $20.00 per person. Teams will consist of 4-6 players. Each team should have a name and must have a “captain.” Cash prizes will be awarded to the best Valentine’s Day theme decorated table and to the winning trivia team.

The Foundation Board raises money for many library projects. The largest fundraiser has been the 5K Run/Walk and quilt raffle held the second Saturday in June. Past projects include the ancestry software for computers, landscaping and outdoor lighting, complete redecoration of the meeting room and kitchen and indoor and outdoor painting. Future projects include replacing the roof and a new HVAC system.
