Two homeruns highlighted a two-inning stretch that saw the Albion Grade School Softballers explode offensively to take down their counterparts from West Salem.

The Lions bested the Lady Warriors 28–8, scoring 11 runs in the bottom of the second frame and 17 in the third. West Salem managed a run in the first and four more in the second to hold an early lead, nabbing three more scores in the top of the third stanza.

Grace Collins and Lexi McKinney each homered for AGS, with the latter also hitting a double as part of a 3–4, four RBI day. Collins went a perfect 4–4 at the plate, netting four RBIs as well.

Avery Sweeney connected for a pair of triples, going 3–4 inside the batter’s box while tallying five RBIs. Allison Groff doubled in the win, earning an RBI.

For West Salem, Aly Williams put up a double, Kinlee Smith drove in the lone Warrior RBI.
