Coming off an emotionally draining loss to state-ranked Fairfield, The Basketball Lions of Edwards County dropped a close contest with out of conference foe Eldorado.
Four ECHS players netted double figures in the losing effort, as the Eagles of Saline County downed the Lions, 63–57.
Senior Cade Schnicker and junior Camden Cowger split top scoring honors, with each guard netting 12 points. Schnicker added three rebounds, four assists and two steals, while Cowger came up with an additional three rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block.
Both Justin Wallace and Kaden Cowling, a senior and freshman respectively, put up 11-point efforts. Wallace complimented his scoring acumen with six rebounds and three assists, as Cowling added four rebounds and a steal to his own stat line.
Senior Martin Schmittler netted seven points, four rebounds, two assists and a steal in the loss, while Andrew Rotramel contributed four points, four rebounds and a steal.
