The Lions Softball team took control early and never looked back as they defeated New Hope.

Albion took a 7–3 edge in the bottom of the first inning, systematically building their advantage toward a 16–5 victory.

Alice Robb managed the AGS girls’ lone extra base hit with a triple, while Lexi McKinney netted a team-high four RBIs in the win. Avery Sweeny produced three RBIs, with Allison Groff and Caseyn Nelson each nabbing two.

Thaylee Dunaway and Grace McCarty had one RBI apiece as well.

The Lady Lions ran wild on the base paths, led by Nelson with three stolen bags. Grace Bishop and Cali Bunting each had two stolen bases to their name, while Olivia Rigg, Groff and Dunaway all had one each.

Groff also pitched for the AGS unit in the win, throwing for four innings of work. She allowed one earned run from three hits, two walks and two strikeouts.
