After battling back multiple times, the boys of Albion Grade School Baseball suffered a one-run loss to Cisne Saturday afternoon.
The Lions erased a 4–0 deficit in the bottom of the fourth inning, only to see the Runnin’ Lions tack on two more runs in the top of the fifth. Albion would tie the game again with two more runs in the bottom of the sixth, but Cisne topped the seventh frame with another run to hand AGS a 7–6 loss.
Jax Duncan managed a double for the Lions, while Drew Seibert, Timothy Young and Anjuan Rhodes all tallied an RBI in the loss. Duncan also had three stolen bases on the day, with Cy Nelson and Jackson Hensley each had two.
Young and Seibert, along with Jaron Weaver and Jex Schnepper stole a bag apiece as well.
Pitching for the Lions was Duncan, who threw for three and two-third innings. He allowed two earned runs from one hit and eight walks, striking out three.
