In an outstanding display of support, determined Edwards County 4-H members pulled off a fantastic job getting their projects entered for judging this year amidst the pandemic. These members-and their support structure-made the best of the situation for the online/virtual 4-H shows. Congratulations to all participants who entered and competed in the Edwards County 4-H online/virtual shows. In the next edition of the Navigator, we will share the animal and livestock show results, once all shows are complete.

Edwards County 4-H Clubs

According to the Illinois Extension Office webpage-who administers the Edwards County 4-H program, “in 4-H, you get to decide what topics and projects interest you most. You make 4-H what you want it to be. Work on many projects or focus on one or two. Choose what events sound fun to you, and do them. In 4-H, you have an important role in making your community a better place to live, but you don’t have to do it alone. As a club, you’ll figure out what’s needed most in your neighborhood and find ways to help.”

If you are interested in learning more or joining a local 4-H club, Please contact a leader (listed below) or the 4-H Program Coordinator, Debra Collier, at the Edwards County Extension office (618-445-2934 or [email protected]) for meeting locations. Collier also serves as the Program Coordinator for Wayne, Wabash, Richland and Lawrence Counties 4-H programs. The programs also looks for volunteers to guide youth as they learn about careers, leadership, and community service.
