The Albion Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the Albion Fall Family Fun Day at the Edwards County Fairgrounds on Oct. 3 beginning at 4:30 p.m.

We will start the day with the city-wide yard sales and a Cusumano & Sons produce pick-up before the kick-off of the Fall Family Fun Day. More information about these two events will be coming soon.

Then, we will be welcoming local favorites, award-winning Judah First Band to the grandstand stage at 4:30 p.m., followed at 6 p.m. by Albion resident Dennis Stroughmatt on his fiddle. To close out our evening at 8 p.m., Mount Carmel native Clayton Mann will take the stage. In between the main acts, newly added Dave and Abbi (David Lane and Abbi Cook) will be on the stage entertaining us at 5:30 p.m. and 7: 30 p.m.

Grandstand tickets are $10 each and kids 10 and under are free. Tickets are currently available for purchase at in Albion at Coyler’s Coffee House, Doug Raber’s State Farm office, The Navigator office, Mitchell Insurance, Prairie Albion Antiques, Country Home Processing or by seeing Averi Goodman at Citizen’s National Bank, or in Mount Carmel at Backyard Markets. You can also message the Albion Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page to reserve your tickets. We will hopefully be adding more local businesses to our list soon. Get out and get your tickets today! Tickets will be on sale at these locations until Oct. 1. If you don’t get your ticket(s) by then, there may be a chance you can pick them up at the gate the day of, providing they are not sold out.

Food and craft vendors will also be at the Fall Family Fun Day. Currently, we have confirmed Usborne Books, Color Street Nails and the Biggs girls will be there with goat milk soap and other homemade products for the craft fair. We are are avidly seeking more vendors. To reserve your craft vending spot, please email us at [email protected]. The cost is $25.

Your food options, as it stands as of press time, will include Pokorney’s  Old Time Kettle Korn, Lil Buddies BBQ, The Smokin’ Pig and Cavemanz Kitchen.

We are also asking local businesses and clubs to set up booths with information about their business or club as well as sponsor games (harvest themed would be a fun tie-in) for families to enjoy while they’re out and about. We would really love to make this a spectacular community event!
