The Edwards and Wabash County Farm Bureaus recently donated fresh lettuce from Joy Lane Produce to the WADI food pantries in each county.

The majority of Joy Lane's produce is sold to restaurants, but due to COVID-19, the market has drastically decreased. Therefore, the business had an overabundance of lettuce. Additionally, the Farm Bureaus had heard about the need for fresh produce donations at local food pantries. By connecting the two scenarios together, the Farm Bureaus were able to help out a local food producer, as well as support their communities during the pandemic.
