The West Salem Board of Trustees finds itself a member short this week.
Dan Baker, West Salem Village President, confirmed on Monday that Trustee Mike Ristvedt had tendered his resignation from the board. Baker noted that he had not been informed of the reason for Ristvedt’s exit from local governance.
Ristvedt won a two-year unexpired term seat on the board in the spring of 2019, and had not taken out a petition to run for reelection in the April 6, 2021 election. Three four-year seats on the West Salem board will be up for grabs in that election, with incumbents Misty Mewes and Paul Butler running alongside Jeff Bradham, Chris Ray and Glenna Hunley.
