A Grayville man was seriously injured last Friday night after being stabbed repeatedly during an altercation in front of a residence on East Spring Street in Grayville.
Joseph R. Wampler, 35, sustained stab wounds to the back of his head, right arm and index finger during the alleged attack.
Grayville Police Chief David Burrows reports the suspect in the attack has been identified as Brooks Tyler Bube, 33, of Grayville. According to Chief Burrows, officers responded to a 911 call of a stabbing around 9:40 p.m. last Friday evening on East Spring Street.
An ambulance crew gave Wampler emergency treatment at the scene and called for an Air Evac helicopter that eventually transported the victim to an area trauma center.
