For the at least the next year and a half, Edwards County Community Unit School District #1 will remain on block scheduling.

The Edwards County Board of Education met for its October regular session Monday night, with the prospect of a change in the way classes are structured at the district’s high school listed on the meeting’s agenda. Superintendent of Schools David Cowger opened discussion on the subject by recommending the board not take action on the matter for either the remainder of the current school year or the following academic year.
