An Evansville, Ind. man has been jailed on a felony gun charge following a traffic stop in Grayville Christmas Eve.
Robert A. Wills, 26 of Gum Street in Evansville was initially cited for improper lane usage, a traffic offense. However, after a further investigation, Wills was found to be a convicted felon in possession of a weapon. Edwards County State's Attorney Eric St. Ledger confirms a warrant was subsequently issued for the weapons offense.
Records show that Wills was booked into the White County jail for Edwards County authorities shortly after 3 a.m. Dec. 24. The offense is a Class-3 felony and carries a potential prison sentence of two-to-five years if convicted.
