Ethan S. Taylor, 23 of West Salem was sentenced to six years in prison October 18 after pleading guilty to a felony charge of unlawful delivery of methamphetamine. In Edwards County Circuit Court, Judge Michael Valentine also ordered Taylor to serve an additional two years of parole once he is released from prison.
The judge gave Taylor credit for 206 days he has spent in a local jail awaiting disposition of his case. Fines, fees and court costs totaled $2,845 in the case, which includes a $1,500 drug treatment assessment.
Taylor's six year sentence in Edwards County will run concurrent with a six year sentence he received October 17 in neighboring Richland County where he plead guilty to a felony charge of unlawful delivery of more than five but less than fifteen grams of methamphetamine. In the Richland County case, Taylor was also ordered to pay fines, fees and court costs amounting to $2,215.
