Edwards County native Sadie Marks is now the Global Programs Coordinator of the United States Grains Council.

Marks will work out of the USGC’s Washington D.C. office, and “will provide administrative support to the global programs team as well as the council’s overseas offices,” according to a press release from the organization. That support will include handling details, logistics and follow-up needs associated with USGC programs and consultants.

“We are excited to have Sadie join the global programs team,” said Cary Sifferath, USGC Senior Director of Global Programs in a press release. “Her addition brings us to a fully-staffed department as we ramp up programming globally in 2020.”

Marks previously worked in the Dean’s Office of the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences at the University of Illinois. She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural and Consumer Economics, with a minor in International Development, while attending the University.
