Mary Ann Downs, 70, of Grayville, Ill., died Wednesday, Dec. 9 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Ind. She was born Dec. 3, 1950, in Carmi, Ill., the daughter of Wilford Carl Trout and Nola May (Trafford) Trout.
Mary was a housekeeper and attended the First Baptist Church in Grayville. Travelling and camping were among her favorite activities. She enjoyed her work and spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren.
Survivors include sons Josh (Allison) Downs and Doug (Michelle) Duncan, all of Grayville; brother Lonnie (Telia) Trout of Browns, Ill.; sisters Dora Smith of Grayville, Connie (Kenny) Dill and Clara Shearf, all of Carmi, Ill.; and grandchildren Kyndal, Malena, and Landon.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and sisters Arledia Knight, Betty Barnes and Dotty Barlow.
In keeping with Mary’s wishes, her remains were cremated and a memorial service will be at a later date.
Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville is in charge of arrangements.
