The preschool shower is still going on. This runs through Sunday, Aug. 2. This is a way for the church and community to help keep the preschool costs down. I will try to get a further update for next week’s news.

Monsignor Ken Schaefer, former pastor at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mount Carmel died Saturday night, July 11 at Barnes Hospital in Saint Louis.  At the time of his passing, he was serving as pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin, Ill.
