Imalee “Verna” Robbins, 86, of Grayville

Imalee “Verna” Robbins, 86, of Grayville, died Wednesday, April 29, at Meadowood Nursing Home in Grayville. She was born Aug. 31, 1933, in Grayville, the daughter of Jessie and Lillian (Weller) Rudisill. She was married to Jesse Ray Robbins on Sep. 21, 1950, and he preceded her in death in 1993.

Verna was a homemaker and member of the Northside Baptist Church in Grayville. She enjoyed walking, reading and her pet dogs.

Survivors include son Alan Ray (Deborah Lynn) Robbins of Belle Rive, Ill.; daughter Mickie (Jimmy) Collard of Grayville; brothers Wayne (Lora Mae) Rudisill of Grayville and Jerry Rudisill of Chicago; grandchildren Kim Funkhouser, Scott (Reagan) Robbins, Mark (Lindsey) Robbins, Heather (Cory) Alexander and Keith (Misty) Collard; great-grandchildren Blake, Grant, Reece, Jess, Evan, Hunter, Bodhi, Oliver, Jasmine, Jalen and Clay and great-great-grandchild Natalie.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers Elmo, Dean and Robert Rudisill and four sisters, Genevieve Owen, Emily Wilson, Betty Landingham and Carol Hedrick.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, private family funeral services will be conducted by Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Grayville.
